Welcome to Howling Rock Radio! What began as an idea between DJ Midnight and DJ Rob has grown into a variety and independent music station built around great music, talented DJs, independent artists, friendship, and community.

Where It All Began

DJ Midnight and DJ Rob started the station in May of 2019 under the name Extreme Radio, which would eventually grow and evolve into the Howling Rock Radio you know today.

It began with a dream of becoming DJs that people would genuinely enjoy listening to while creating a station where listeners could have fun, enjoy great music, make requests, and feel like part of a community.

Our Listeners Come First

Keeping our listeners happy has always been extremely important to us. Our DJs bring their own personalities, musical interests, and individual styles to the station while also welcoming requests from our listeners.

We want everyone who tunes in to feel welcome, enjoy the music, interact with our DJs, and feel like part of the Howling Rock Radio family.

More Than Just Rock

Despite the name Howling Rock Radio, we are not limited to rock music. We are a variety and independent music station , bringing our listeners music from a wide range of genres and decades along with independent bands and artists.

That variety has become an important part of who we are. It gives our DJs the freedom to bring their own musical styles to the station while giving our listeners the opportunity to hear familiar favorites and discover something new.

Supporting Independent Music

Supporting independent bands and artists has become an important part of Howling Rock Radio. We are proud to provide independent musicians with another place where their music can be heard and discovered.

Independent music is featured throughout our regular programming, helping introduce our listeners to talented bands and artists from around the world.

Our Community

Howling Rock Radio is also part of the IMVU community, giving our listeners another place to hang out, enjoy the station, interact with our DJs, and spend time with the Howling Rock Radio family.

Over the years, the station has become more than simply a place to play music. It has become a community built by the people who volunteer their time, the independent artists who share their music with us, and the listeners who continue to support the station.

Our Goal

Our goal is simple: continue building a station where our DJs enjoy what they do, independent bands and artists have another place to be heard, and our listeners can tune in knowing there is always something different around the corner.
