*- How H.R.R. Came To Be -*

The story of Howling Rock Radio and how two brothers, a love of music, and a simple idea grew into the station we know today.

The story of Howling Rock Radio began back in May 2019, when two brothers were hanging out, talking, and joking about a radio station they both listened to at the time.

What started as jokes about making song requests soon turned into conversations about how they would run a station themselves and what it would take to make it happen. Before long, those conversations became something real.

And just like that, Extreme Radio was born. What began as an idea between two brothers had officially become their own radio station.

The station's name would go through a few changes before becoming the Howling Rock Radio everyone knows today.

After trying several names, they finally found the one that fit—and Howling Rock Radio became the station's permanent name.

By now, you may have already guessed who those two brothers are: DJ Midnight and DJ Rob.

Both share a strong passion for radio and music. Over the years, DJs have come and gone. Some have moved on to other opportunities, some have gone on to run stations of their own, and others have retired. Through it all, DJ Midnight and DJ Rob have continued moving Howling Rock Radio forward.

DJ Rob had once told DJ Midnight that it was his dream to work at a radio station. Little did he know that before long, he wouldn't simply be working at one—he would become an owner alongside his brother, DJ Midnight.

Today, DJ Midnight and DJ Rob continue running Howling Rock Radio with the same passion that helped start it. New ideas are always being explored as the station continues to grow and evolve.

H.R.R. has always been about more than simply playing music. It is about variety, independent music, creativity, friendship, and building a radio family where every DJ can bring their own personality to the air.

Over the years, the Howling Rock Radio family has continued to grow and evolve. DJs have come and gone, new members have joined us, and each person has brought their own personality, experience, and passion for music to the station.

Today, we are proud of the radio family and team behind H.R.R. Our team works together to keep the station running, bring great music to our listeners, support independent artists, and continue building what Howling Rock Radio has become.

Howling Rock Radio would not be where it is today without our faithful listeners. Every person who tunes in, makes a request, supports our DJs, discovers an independent artist through H.R.R., or simply tells someone else about the station has helped us continue doing what we love.

DJ Midnight and DJ Rob plan to continue running Howling Rock Radio for as long as they are able, supported by the incredible radio family behind the station and the listeners who continue to tune in.

We are always open to suggestions and new ideas, and we look forward to seeing where the next chapter of Howling Rock Radio takes us.
